BENJAMIN UTTLEY

Born in 1978 in Newcastle upon Tyne , Ben Uttley is the founder of successful production company Stamp Productions (est. 2008). Ben’s career commenced in a very brief stint in professional Rugby before injury ended his aspirations aged 20. Subsequently, his career as a filmmaker has earned him diverse credits both in front of and behind the camera across commercials, TV series’ (Skins, Einstein and Eddington, My Family) and feature films (Captain America: The First Avenger, The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy and The Four Feathers ).

Ben has filmed, directed and produced several feature documentaries in sport for the British & Irish Lions as well as regularly writing and directing commercials for major brands. He is an accomplished cinematographer a published photographer and music producer.  He is directing his first narrative short film in 2024.

He is the son of physical education Master and Rugby legend Roger Uttley OBE and of headmistress (retired) Kristine Uttley. He has one brother, Simon, a screenwriter and producer. He has two daughters, Mathilda and Wilhelmina and is married to Victoria Uttley.
